Thanks Boily, I have been using the same technique that you do, I just wanted to check and see if you were doing that or something different. At any rate they are great shots.

Most of mine have been from 30+ feet and sometimes I've slipped over to the digi-Zoom side. I totally agree on the Af and the brasnches. It has caused me to miss a lot of good shots because it would not get a focus lock where I wanted it. I sometimes have had to get the focus lock on something close and take the shot that way!!
