I have a Z812 IS and am having trouble with close ups being blurry-any suggestions? The manuel is not clear about close ups. Thanks Leslie

Leslie-
When the camera to subject distance is less that 30" the macro or close-up mode must be used to keep sharp focus. Sarah Joyce |

Sarah probably nailed the most likely cause - the camera not being in the macro mode. Here are two links that will give you a feel for what your Z812 can do in macro mode. They were done with a Z612 but the lens is the same.
http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ko...nside-out.html http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ko...ight-tent.html There are other causes for blurry close-ups as well once the camera is in macro mode such as camera shake (although the IS helps), subject motion and missed focus (the camera focuses on something other than the primary subject) Post a couple of your blurry shots (with EXIF intact) and the assembled group can provide more specific help.
