Default DSC Pro14n - Full frame 14mpixels - wow!

I've been busting to tell you about this one. The Canon EOS-1Ds is great but the Kodak DCS Pro14n at $4000-4999 is the real news at Photokina!

Default I like it :)

I am so glad I went Nikon. My lenses can be easily used with a beast like this. Now, I just need to find $4000. I know I have it hidden around here somewhere...

This is an exciting development. This is the one to get unless Canon can come up with something similar and pricings.

Where can I get on a waiting list to buy this camera? Can anyone recommend a retailer, or does anyone have a list of professional dealers ? I've contacted Kodak by e-mail with out much luck as to a list of dealers accross USA. How about stores like Ritz or some of those that come out of New York ?

Marc

Thanks,
Marc

Thanks Steve,

I new I could count on you for sound advice. I just Pre-order my camera from Ritz Camera. I only hope I'm at the top of the queue. I'm not shure how many units Kodak will have available by December,
got any Idea ?

Thanks,
Marc

Default Foveon Technology

How do you think this camera will stack-up to one with foveon technology. Is the foveon technolgy superior? Is it worth waiting for the foveon technology to mature (and if so what woud be the time frame)?

Default 14n tethered shooting

just a little note for those of us who want that little extra room on the cf card the 14n will shoot tethered to a laptop according to kodak it will download straight to the HD bypassing your card if you want great for the studio shoots.

it took foveon 5 yrs to get its sensor into a carriable camera body. if the money continues to flow i think within 1-1.5 years. they are testing the water now(i think a little late). they should have put it in a digicam first.
