Comments and critiques are welcome.

All pics with my trusty, tiny, simple, refurbished, Kodak DX6490.

I've just joined the forum today. Your post was the second I've looked at. (Had a great peek at a beautiful moon first)

I also own a DX6490. I looked at your pictures and love the water droplet photo as well as others. I've had my camera for 2 years now and hope to finally learn some of the PASM setting features.

Maybe we can chat?

Thanks,

Vickie

I also have it for two years. Its a great camera, I like PASM modes plus its automode too. I am planning to upgrade but waiting for prices of P712 to go down. Feel free to send me an email at atindra(at)gmail.com

Very nice sets Atindra. Glad to see some from another DX6490. I also am waiting to step up but so far I really don't see a camera that is so much better than my trusty DX6490, that I'd want to spend the money right now.

If you want same ease I think Z612 is definitely a better choice. I am planing for an upgrade which I'll keep for atleast another 2-3 years and therefore, I want 12X zoom with IS, good controls over image format and compressions, External flash with hot-shoe. These are the main features which attract me toward P712.

As they do me! But I wonder always just what Kodak has on the drawing board. I'd like an entrance level DSLR from them. Otherwise I may be waiting another year before I buy! Give them a chance to come up with something newer and better or at the least let the price of a P712 go down a bit! LOL

Probably a replacement to P880 is coming soon. Better watch.

C875 seems surprisingly stunning, watch few of its images on dpreview-kodak forum.
