Thanks Dawg,

I am pretty please with these shots.
They are 3072 x 2048 in my photo program and were reduced substantially to enable posting to this site.

I agree with Dan and domang, digital zoom is amazingly impressive. I go above 2x dig-zoom on my Dx6490 and shots are horrible.

Yes. They are good! 12x seems awesome! These are just zoom test shots... no big. ;D Heh, I don't usually nit pick most photos. Because, if I look real close, most of the time there's something worng. But, I won't point it out because I had to look close. @[email protected] If there's something painfully obvious about the shot that degrades the quality, I'll critique it. And try to help.(unless critique is discouraged...) ;D Also, no need for critique on these phtos because they're just test shots.

Looks good enough to me! Remember it's not so much what we like, it's how happy are you with the shot! Some are pickier than others and will find someting wrong with most everything you or I could shoot. Just do it as well as you wish to and you'll be happy! Nice ones to me.

Good set showing what the P712 zoom is capable of. Thanks for posting these.

I'm hoping to get down to the New Mexico State Fair tomorrow. Any shots I take will be hand held and in RAW. I'd like to use the monopod but fair Security may not allow it in as it looks like a gang weapon.

No Atindra, these three were on a tripod and the camera was not moved. All three from the same setting.

Now off to Pasadena for some soccer action.
