My grandson wanted me to get a shot of him and his skate board off the ground.

Nice shot, I think it could be interesting if you can get all the shaddow of the skateboarder !!

Seriously, the shadow does not mirror the subject so, IMO, the first pic is better.

I think the ground of the 2 pictures are a little bit too white, you should play with your pictures in a editing software !!
