Well folks, I spent most of the day yesterday in Pasadena, CA taking action pictures of my Grandaughters soccer games.

All iin all, I was disappointed. I took a total of 118 pictures. some in "Auto" mode, some in "shutter priority" and a few with "first burst".

I tossed out all but 64 and after looking at those, I still have some sorting to do. I got a few towards the end of the day that were blurred. I thought that perhaps the battery strength had deminished but the battery strength appeared to still be good so I may have moved or ??????????

I am certain that the majority of the problems I had were the Indian and not the Arrow.

I got a lot of learning to do.

I will post a few on this thread for you good shooters to snicker at.

Always fun to kick a guy when he's down. :-)

Looking forward to the pics, Fossil.

Very nice action shots. What was the ratio of good ones to bad ones?

My Dad always said "Kick a man when he's down...It'll give him a reason to get up!"

I deleted about 30 of them. Some I missed the subject completely. Some, I don't know why I took them. four or five were very blurry, some I composed poorly, i.e. cut off the heads or half of the body in the shot.

I fairness to myself, I took all of them sitting at the half court line on my dead butt in a lawn chair and used the zoom to get me close.

I am sure that If I walked the sidelines and got into some positions to get players coming at me, I would have gotten even more good ones.

I did catch on ball on the camera. No harm, no foul.

Twas a fun day and a lot of opportunities coming up.
