Hi Dawg, Yes I like the 6490 alot. Avery nice digital camera and I use it a lot. I have had it for a couple of years now and I also have the Tcon 1.7 which aaaaaaai enjoy using also .Its a nice lens. You will notice that I will probably be sending out a few ship pictures I have taken but will get down to sending other types of pictures also.

I sailed on the Great Lakes as a merchant seaman for Inland Steel Co. and retired at the end of May of 1993. I am 76 now but still enjoying life. I like bird watching a lot and of course photography and bicycling and walking and various other things.

Sorry about that aaaaaaai after the tcon part. It was suposed to read--which I enjoy. andy

Good to have you aboard andy! I'm about twenty years junior to you but as we never know the ages of most folks here that shouldn't matter. Yer only as young as you feel and some days I fell 100!! LOL Glad you're enjoying that DX. I've had mine for just over 2 years and have really enjoyed it too. I love photos of ships though they are hard to find here in Northern Alabama. May be that's the reason for my fascination. Have fun and post lots of photos!
