Default Kodak Picture Transfer Software

I have a Kodak DX 4900, and while using Kodak Picture Transfer Software version 2.1.0007 the pictures are named in the oposite order from which they were taken. And I noticed that the number given to the pictures do not start from 0001. It follows the previous number order even after formating the Memory card.
According to Kodak FAQ's section, the following would be the solution for the software version I have:

- While in the Kodak Picture Transfer Software Options Menu, click Update and Save My Transfer Settings.
- Click Next.
- Click Next again.
- Uncheck Rename As and then click Next.
- Click Save Settings.
- Click Okay.

But I could not find the OPTIONS Menu nor Update and Save My Transfer Settings on my software. I unistalled it and reisntalled it, but did not work. I also tried to get another version of the transfer software, did not find it either. I don't know what I should do anymore. Can anyone help me? :?:

in the transfer window press or select rename pictures to and just type what ever and it will start the number system over, make a new folder to save the pics in. i just tested this on my dx4900

i was also able to continue where i left off by unselecting the box and saving the pics in the last folder i was saving them

Default Picture Transfer Software substitute

kschewe, thanks for the reply.

I followed your advice, but still, the software did not work the way I wanted it to. Then I downloaded Easy Share 3.0, but did not make me happy either.
I'm now using Cam2PC transfer software. I'm so far very satisfied with it. It's working fine.

Available for download at:
