The summer is nice but all to often the sky has a hazy look to it.

The living may be easy and the fish may be jumping but the skies are not that great.

This is because the air temp. and ground or water temp. vary too much and cause some haze/mist in the sky.

Today I brought my Z730 and Kodak aux. wide angle lens. The temp was about 70 and Hudson Bay was also nice and cool. The sky was a nice bright blue and loaded with nice fluffy clouds (like a tissue commercial).

A wide angle lens will give you a greater view from left to right and snap up the contrast of a weak sky to a good sky and a good sky to a "gooder" sky.

This not a pano shot, a domestic garden variety wide angle shot.

Here is a pano of 3 verticle compositions.

As much as I love my optical finder a EVF or LCD finder is the only way to se what the aux. is doing. This pano has too much overlap as it was very hard to compose on the lcd screen at the time. And I have yet to find a hood or visor for these large Kodak LCD screens.

Real nice photos, Bill. That wide angle aux. lens really makes a very positive difference. Ilike the wide angle format a lot.

I really like that a lot. Reminds me of what it looks like here now.

Bursie!

Brooklyn just the other end of the N.Y. State Throughway from Buffalo.

My dad used to work for the A&P factory in the Bush Terminal in Brooklyn (Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, the supermarket chain). When they were closing operations here and moving to Horsehead just outside of Elmira, NY he was asked to relocate too. My father dialed the Elmira area code and the number for the weather, heard there was 3 feet of snow on the ground and thats why we stayed in Brooklyn.

Nice pics, Bill. Good depth to them.

Fort Hamilton was my first stop in the Army back in '65.

"...Hudson Bay was also nice and cool."

It always is. Calling New York Bay "Hudson Bay" must be a Brooklyn thing. :?:-)

Named after Henry Hudson, not a Brooklyn thing.
