Joystick on my DX6490 broke a week before the 1-year warranty period expired. Phoned in, faxed in proof of purchase.

They emailed me a prepaid UPS label to send the camera to the Kodak repair centre in Germany. The brown van arrived.

The camera went.

And came back a week later by UPS. Repaired. Good as new.

End of story.

They repaired the camera. And it didn't cost me a penny. What more can you ask for?

The DX-6490 takes great pictures.

wow seems great, im sure not every one is as lucky as you though i always hear of stories about things going to get repaired and payinf an extra 100 £ for the postage and other fees
