I have seen a lens adapter on Ebay which is supposed to fit the P850, and has the adapter tube, a UV filter and a "flower" type hood all for £5!

Only problem is that the lens end of the adapter and the filter are 58mm threaded, whereas the Kodak or Olympus tcon lens are 55mm.

Does anyone know of these adapters, and any step down rings that could be used?

-or should I steer clear of these?

A step down ring can be purchased from most any Camera store or supply! The 55 to 58mm one is a very common size! Here is one that will work. Yours will be a step up ring....55mm lens to a 58mm filter size!

That is true! And if you plan on stepping up later on as I do to a DSLR ... then the 58mm TCON and any filters can step up with you as there is a plethera of 58mm DSLR lenses out there! For the Kodaks though if that is where you plan on staying for a while then the 55mm will allow you to move from one camera to another! Course you can do that with the 58mm as well as long as you get the step up adapter. LOL Just don't go the other way and get 52mm lenses or adapters as this will lead you towards vignetting!
