And we got onn the field....

My Favorite...

I know some of the sky is blown out in some of the pics, but keep in mind, these have only been resized and resaved as JPEG (from TIFF)... No post processing has been done yet. They were taken in TIFF with the intent on attempting to print a 20x30 poster from one. I'll let you guys know how the poster comes out... I'm really excited to see if the little P&S can pull it off!

Awesome! May I ask... did you crop these? The exif says you shot at F2.8...(On a couple of them it says F4---or F8 on a few. I'm still wondering... ) but, I see no vingnette.

Great shots. Hope the poster comes out good!

One tip: The sky might not get blown out as often if you used multi pattern meetering in the shots with the sky and clouds. )

No cropping was done... only a resize and resave into JPEG... I don't have a very much of aproblem with vignette even at 2.8, in fact, here is a shot of the sky... f/2.8, 24mm. You can see just a pinch in each corner, but it almost blends to look like a slightly darker point in the cloud.

mine also has a uv filter on it... i was afraid that would add to the vignette.... but I think the 58mm stepup ring helped it from causing worse vignette.

Hmm... Maybe. I also think the black background of steve's forums makes the vignette blend a little. lol

The 58mm size would help by making the outermost part of the filter get out of the way! LOL Like No. 3, 4, and 5! More color! A grad gray ND filter will help keep from blowing out the highlights!
