I have a dx7440, z730 and a z7590.

Has anyone used any of these cameras (or other models)to shoot video ?

I was very close to buying a Aptek mpv hybred (combo still, video and mp3) for about $150.00. The more I research I did on it the more turned off I became (focus, video issues un resolved).

Are there any web sites where people share their video creations using a digital still camera?

Greetings Bill,

I have used all three. All of them will give you decent video. Details follow.

The DX7440 has the following.

Image size: QVGA (320 x 240), VGA (640 x 480)
Frame rate: QVGA 24 fps; VGA 13 fps

The Z730 features the following video

Image size: QVGA (320 x 240), VGA (640 x 480)
Frame rate: QVGA 20 fps; VGA 12 fps

The Z7590 has the following video

Image size: VGA (640 x 480) at 12 fps,
Frame rate: QVGA (320 x 240) at 20 fps

Although the cameras offer decent video you will get better results from the newer models that have improved video options. For example, in a V series camera you can get:

VGA (640 × 480 pixels) at 30 fps
VGA long at 30 fps
QVGA (320 × 240 pixels) at 30 fps

What is your particular need, Bill, i.e. what do you want to do? Glad to help if I can.
