We have been going over the way to make a Cable Release bracket on another thread and I thought it might be nice to see what I could come up with to make it look more factory made. You'll need a small lathe to do this one. Since on the other one I already found the distance between the two lock nuts so I could return the two plates to the same place every time I just made a long spool from aluminum rod stock. The two ends are turned down to a 1/4" diameter and threaded 1/4-20. There are two 1/8' thick X 1/2" diameter rest stops at each end for the plates to sit on! The middle is 3/8" diameter. The thumbnuts are a couple I've had laying around from a Destruction job at work! Any way here are a few shots of it!

Looks good, Dawg. I'm not sure I have much use for one, (nor the handy hands to make it. ) but, it looks great!

I'd buy one... Have you thought about marketing this?

Thanks guys...If I started producing them it would become work and with building my garage...Working 6-7 days a week at my job..Cancer treatments and trying to shoot some photos it would become drudgery to me. The idea is out there and free for anyone to make them and sell them if they wished! Boily the paint job will be tonight if I can find time on my lunch break at work to do it! Flat black on everythiong except the thumbnuts would look great I'm thinking! Whaty do you think??
