A fellow I work with named Charlie has been working on this for a year now and finally drove it to work. Kinda neat...even has the round radio and clock and they work.

I say 55 or 56 and think it is a 56.
good old days when Ford made real cars in the U.S.A.

How about '53??

I had a new '52 Crown Victoria in 1952. Same color as Charlie's Pride! Wish I had a picture of it. It had wheel well covers also as wellas a Continental Kit, spot lights, bumper guardsand flying horse hood ornament. I'm a little embarrassed now as I describe it but what the hey, I was a kid!! Unfortunately my girl friend wrapped it up into a little ball one night after we partied too hearty. We all escaped unharmed because limp stupid bodies seem to withstand a beating.

I replaced the '52 with a '53. I don't recall what design the chrome adornment along the side of the car was, but think Charlie's is more like the '53.

Still alive and kickin'

Thanks all. It's a 1955 model Fairlane ClubSport! LOL Sorry Boily but he really doesn't want me to photograph it or give his full name. I asked! LOL

Thanks for posting, BigDwag-

That photo of the Ford brings back nice memories BigDwag. I drove a 1957 Ford as I went off to Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, back in 1957, ah those were the days, but then airplanes have changed just like cars over the years as well.

I got carrier qualified in an SNJ that was older than I was, at the time, and it didn't even have a full time hydraulic system. Who would know that 25 years later I would be a Captain on a Boeing 747. Life moves fast.
