Those have very little saturation change other than what the camera gave me. I too love color. The human eye sees in color so to me it is a more natural forum for me to play in. That particular tree has suffered many plights in it's day. First off it is a Triple Tree. It is made up of a Walnut, a Sweetgum and an Elm! It has been lightning struck many times. You'll notice that it has lost a few limbs too. In photo 5 you can see a hole left in the walnut part where a limb was knocked off by a Backhoe a few years ago. Also the top of a limb was cut off by the Gas company when they were installing Natural gas at my Daughter's house across the creek. The limb continued to grow but now it grows down. A lot of the color saturation and the contrast is from it being a misty rainy morning and the tree limbs and trunks were a darker color. Plus the sun was behind a heavy over cast. Perfect for fall colors and good contrast! I hope this dis-intrigues your mind a little. Oh yeah...LOL I wasn't nagging...just trying to be polite and helpful...LOL

I know, Dawg. You are always polite and HELPFUL. I just wanted you to know I don't always know what I am talking about.

I especially like the shapes and color and composition of number 5. Makes me want to get out my paints.

Thanks Rags. I was hoping some of these had an impressionistic look to them. They had that look to me as I took them and I was hoping they'd retain that through the capture! I'm glad some one else saw it!

I was most intrigued by No. 4, It almost looks like you somehow missed the focus by A LOT, but then you notice the small naked branches. The subject of the photo could be easily overlooked at a glance due to all the color in the background and the naked branches in the foregroud. All in all, pretty cool shot.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. Inn..That was the reaction I wanted to that particular photo! Using DOF not to mask or hide anything but to have the real subject the branches sort of pop out at you unexpectedly!LOL
