Hi all.
Glad to say I should be back by the end of the month with a new P712 and cant wait..For those who know me and my situation, I have met a real wonderful woman and will soon be moving to Oregon to be with her. Thanks to all my friends who have supported me with the kind words and prayers, what can I say but a heartfelt..THANK YOU.

Your friend Tim

Boily my friend, I have a photo challenge for you.
I saw a photo the other day and will do my best to describe the shot.

--Night time shot of a skyscraper or a reasonable tall building

-- Make the exposure about 2 or 4 seconds

--zoom in about 3 times as not to totally lose the aspect of the building

--and at about 2 seconds into the shot..zoom back to normal.

The result almost looks like its shooting lights from the windows because of the zoom effect...

Hope I explained this ok Boily and for anyone else that wants to try this.

Or by the photographers info

Thanks for giving us some news Wag :-)

I think I can't do this with the p850 because I can't move the zoom while I am taking a picture with this camera !!

I need a manual ring ...

I saw a picture like this done with the p880
