It is the same as the z730 (came before the z730) 4x optical and 5mp rather than 4mp..

I thought my dx7440 died on my (focus was way off). In November I took it out of the the draw to check the screen and found the focus was working right.

I have the kodak aux wide angle lens for it which brings it out to about 20mm view.

They are nice and compact (fits in jacket pocket) and has a nice optical view finder.
