Hello,

I have been trying to decide between these fine cameras, All of the info and reviews indicate that they are probably all fine choices. I like the Zoom of the 850 and 712, but the wide angle on the 850 could come in handy also... I'd love to hear from someone who has tried several of these first hand.

Also, I like the looks of the 880, it seems a little bit more robust like a dSLR, And Tiger Direct has it for 299.00 Can't beat that....

Thanks in advance,
Lou

The P880 is a very good choice if you don't need the zoom! Great price too!

hi lou

i have used a p712 (current) an 880 and a z7590, all have been good!

the 880 has a wide zoom as you know , but not to much long zoom .

however the 712 has a panoramic mode that gets all the wide shots and still has 12 x zoom !!

i would go for the 712 ! but as cameras go they are all nice easy user friendly cameras and are all capable of good shots.

regards bob.

The 880 is finally here... It looks gret and overall I'm pleased with it, but....and this is a big but, what is it with the noise coming from this thing all the time? I am assuming it's the continous autofocus, (is it?). Is there any way to make it only focus when I press the shutter release? There has got to be some resolution to this, its driving me crazy....

Thanks in advance.

Good choice. The 880 has the best picture quality of the 3.
