High to all of you,

My name is Costis and I'm from Greece.
I just bought thr P880 and is refusing to "work".
When I switch it on I get a message saying "High camera temperature" and it shuts down. The camera is not hot at all.
The battery is fully charged.

Thanks a lot.

I wish to all of you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

CostBot,

Take the battery out for a few minutes and then insert back into camera. If that does not work see if you return the camera.

How long did you have the camera? Did you just buy it? We need more detail of your situation.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have bought it today. I switch it on and then asked me to enter the date and the time. After a while, probably 5 minutes, I saw in the LCD a message "High camera temprature" and the camera went off.
After a while I tried to switch it again and I got again the same message.
I took out the battery and charged it and after 3 hours the led on the charger became green, meaning full charge. I put back the battery and I switch it on. The camera after a few seconds saw me the same mesage and went off. After that it is refusing to start, unless you take out the battery and you re-inserted again. Of course after a few seconds goes of due to the "High camera temperature".

All proposals are welcome.

Thanks a lot in advance.

It sounds bad. Maybe a bad temperature sensor or a component inside that is actually over-temping. Or maybe the battery is shorting somehow. But I doubt you are going to get it working without taking it for service.

This morning I managed to return the defective camera and they gave me a new one.
I would like to thank you for your help.
