BigDwag-

It sounds like more just a dusting of snow, then. It probably will be gone rather quickly. I remember when I was in flight training in Pensacola, that we would ocassionally have a dusting of snow and everything just came to a screeching halt. People were not used to snow, and just as you said, BigDwag, everything goes wacko.

Ooh I really like the first photo!! They were talking about your snow this morning on the news. We always get snow up here during the winter but people still drive like nut cases LOL!

The noise is as it was right from the camera. The ISO was set at 80. If the noise gets too bad I slip it into neat image! I didn't do that with these as it is hard to tell the snow and sleet from the noise!

This may seem dumb, but are those 3 separate shots or did you give different cropping of the same one? To me, the perspective of the mailboxes seems the same.

Nice pics. Dawg, It snowed out here in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, it usually snows in the Vegas mountains but it hadn't snowed in the city since about 25 years ago.

Thanks Greg and MrBlue. Nice to hear from you again MrBlue. I've been missing those Las Vegas shots of yours.

Greg I used a tripod and shot from the side stoop of my front porch as it was snowing and sleeting at the time and I didn't want to get the camera wet! The first 2 are exactly from the same place and are cropped using the camera's zoom. The third one is from the same spot but I panned to the left a little!

And my good friend there is only one dumb question and that is the one you should have asked but didn't! You asked.. so ergo.. it couldn't have been a dumb one!

The first photo was at 94mm (35mm equivelant )
The second was at 268mm (35mm equivelant )
the third was at 56mm (35mm equivelant )
