One last picture of the ducks. These goldeneyes are siting the channel to the entrance to the Duluth harbor, the north pier is in site and the south pier is out of site of course, the channel is about 350 feet wide, going one direction you enter the harbor and the other direction leads into Lake Superior. The bridge I have sent pictures of spans this channel, the bridge span rises 135 feet to let ships through and then the span comes back down to let auto traffic cross. Hope you dont mind my explination. andy 74

Thanks Dawg, the channel is iced over now so the ducks had to leave and even Lake Superior is covered with ice as far ouy as I can see and it is the last lake that freezes up here because it is so big, our inland lakes up here are so frozen that people are driving trucks on them. andy 74

Better you than me, to man this Forum's office in Duluth, Andy!

That is way too cold for this girl. Our overnight low was 43 last night, and even that seems cool and makes you want to snuggle in bed.

Have a great day.
