I am seeing what look like burned out pixels in my photos and in the LCD on my P850.

Look at some of my recent experiments:

http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/Experiments/

They turn up as pure white pixels in photos. Look in the lower right 1/4 of the pictures. You will see at least 3 white pixels in the black sections.

Tried cleaning the lens with a soft cloth.

Has anyone else seen something like this?

Suggestions? Comments?

Thanks!
Cecil

Cecil can you post a photo with the burnt out pixels? Also how long have you had the P850? Also circle or highlight them as I'm having a hard time seeing them on my monitor!

Can do. I have looked through old pics. They have been there since new, May 2006.

Sometimes the subject matter obscures them. Other times, they jump right out at you.

I can edit them out. But I hate to have to do that in every picture I take...

Thats not a big problem !

Go in the menu section an click on the button named "Calibrate Imager"

Then your camera will turn off and do a few pictures...Don't touch any button...

After that, everything should be good

I don't find that selection in my Menu screens anywhere on my P850.

Give me hint where to find that?

The original firmware did not have the calibrate function. Go to the 'About...' selection and see if you have firmware version 1.01. If not then go to http://www.kodak.com/global/en/servi...7475/7546/7548 for the download.
