LBA is awful... I'm a sufferer... I have been through about 36 lenses and now own two bodies... so be careful.

Boily... Definitiely don't dump the Kodak. I sold mine and I really regret it. For lenses, you can get some excellent glass from Sigma or Tamron. Don't buy the "low end lenses". Seems a huge favorite for an everyday lens is the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 . I use it constantly. Also the Sigma 70-300mm f3.5 is very good. And Canon has a totally cheap 50mm f1.8 "prime" lens which is amazing... tack sharp. And it only costs about $68 US.
Thanks brut !

I am already looking at the 17-70 :-)

And yes don't worry, I will keep the p850

My dad will be using it and I will borrow the camera for wildlife pictures !!

Congrats on the new toy. Watch out for accessory buying disease like a bigger flash, wireless remote, tripod, hoods, filters, camera bags, etc.

I bought a little Kodak P&S after I bought a Canon DSLR.
