I took this sunrise last year of the sun rising over Lake Superior. I have a clear horizon view of sunrises over the lake . I see some very unusuall ones because of the different tempature gradients over the lake. andy 74

Thanks Dan. I am glad to be able to share it. These are not common and to be able to see this happen is a treat. I have seen lots of green flashes at the first instant the sun appears also. andy 74

One more commet, I believe when the seting or rising sun takes this shape it is called an [Etruscan vase]
