Thanks for the comments Dawg. The reason I have been putting these skater pictures on is because it is very rare to see skating on the worlds largest fresh water lake. For it to freeze it takes a combination of some calm days with sub zero temps. and years when it does happen the ice is not nearly as smooth and it gets covered with snow so soon. but we are haviing a snowless winter but now it sounds like we have snow comming. People also have ice fishing houses set up on the big lake and some people are skating long distance on the lake. andy 74
