If you are having problems getting KLIC-8000 batteries for the Z612, got to www.bestbatt.com.

Just got my shipment and the batteries look great. They charge in the Kodak charger and are rated same as the original KLIC-8000 batteries.

Customer service was excellent. Their responses to my email messages were very quick.

Best of all, each KLIC-8000 is US$11.80. So I got 2 right away!

Thanks. I have been looking for some. This seems a pretty good deal.

Have been using the battery since I got them. They charge in the Kodak charger so they seem to be a good and lower-priceed substitute to the original KLIC-8000.

Hi there,

How long does the charge last on these batteries compare to the Kodaks? Do you notice any diffence with these? I am thinking of getting them, but thinking the actual Kodak batteries may be better quality.

Hope to hear from you soon..

According to the specs it's the same capacity as the Kodak - 1600mAh = should perform exactly the same.

Yes, but as I looked into it more, I saw that it is a 3.6 V battery and not a 3.7 V battery as the Kodak Klic is. I do not know if that would be a problem though.

Later.

No problem with this 0.1V difference. I have not fully used up my first charge yet but from the specs, it should last as long as the original. The quality from the way the product was built, visually it looks very good.

As to the voltage difference again, the non-rechargeable CRV3 lithium battery that is specified also for the camera is actually rated at only 3.0V. So a 3.6V battery should not be an issue at all.

And for US$11.80 as against US$30.00 for the original - should be worth a try.
