4/29/07/ When i looked out and saw this squirrel he was eating sunflower seed I hd scattered around and there was a chipmuck that was next to him eating also but when I went to grab the camera the chippy had left with his stash so took this looking out adoor window. andy74

Unusual to us here Andy as we only get the gray and red squirrels!

Great pic! I've never seen a black squirrel. Ours our grey and brown. In Arkansas I saw alot of white ones. The black is cool.

Dawg, I was looking in my copy of Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mammals and it turns out that they are a gray squirrel in what is known as a black phase and some just happen to turn out that way mainly in the northern part of there range andy74

Thanks Kelly---I believe the white ones are usually arent they. I bet they are pretty. I was telling Dawg about the gray squirrel black phase so you will probably read it in this same grouping. I meant to say the white one are usually albino arent they and in reading this over I see were I screwed up. andy74
