I typically use Picassa for quick view/edit as it is simple to use.

I just downloaded InfanView and intend to start playing with some shots in that program.

All the pictures I posted were in the "Auto" mode as I recall. I have done very little
exploreing using the P,S,A,M modes and I really need to do that.

I need to do some specific tests with different setting and check those results.
Also, I am sure that getting the P-20 would be a big +.

Thanks for the reponses guys Ron and AC

Greetings,

Yes, the P20 would be a worthwhile addition to your options. Flash used correctly adds a great deal to the features, options, etc.

Also, PASM will give you more control of the image and allow for the use of a number of accessories. I would definitely check the meter setting as it may help.

Talk to you soon,

I have started doing what I should have been doing all along.
Get to know the camera and what it does.

I have done some indoor tests shooting the same subject, distance, using the P/ISO settings of 100, 200, 400, then used the auto mode, and the Scenes/party mode and compared the properties.

Bottom line is I need to see what seems to give the best results in a given situation, and delete what doesn't look to good.

Using Picassa2, I was able to make some adjustments with "I'm feeling lucky" fill light, and the sharpening tool.

Doing and undoing these things gave pretty good results in almost all cases.

To be continued.
