I have decided to keep the P712 and add a couple of items, The P20 flash and perhaps a .7 wide angle lens.

One of the things I enjoy shooting is insects on plants.
Is the "Scene/Flower mode adequate or would I benefit from a wide angle or close up lens?
Can anyone make a recommendation for my P712?

The Tiffen brand ones from B&H Photo are very good for a reasonable price...You can get adequate photos with out them but for really close sharp photos you can really use them Foss!

Thanks Dawg. I assume they would screw directly onto my 55mm lens.

You can get them in almost any lens size foss. The ones you would need are the 55mm ones. They are stackable to give you even more magnification. +1 + +2 = +3
