Hello fellow Kodak-lovers: could someone kindly inform me if the Easyshare software for the P880 has to be on my computer to enable me to perform the update?

Thanks in advance......Almar.

No.

It helps if you have a card reader. It`s easier to do

Thank you very much Flymhi.....I do have a card reader but being not very computer savvy, could I impose on you a little more to ask for any tips?

Best regards, Almar.

You must first create a new folder on the SD card and download the update to that folder.

Thanks a million domang......I THINK I may just about manage that but I'll have to be very sure I fully understand the whole process before I proceed.

I'll go read the instructions on the Kodak website again and scream for any further help if necessary. And knowing me, I probably will:roll:.

Hey, this forum is GREAT!

Almar.

Flymhi and domang; I know I'm a bit late with informing you both that I successfully updated the firmware to vesion 1.02. I was surprised how easy it was to do and it has made a considerable difference to the focussing speed alone.

Thank you both again for your help.

Regards, Almar.

That's good. Everything looks hard until you've done it once.
