Monarch butterflies have been migrating into northernMn. the last few days taken 5/25/07/ andy74

Thanks Flying Fossil--we seem to be having many more monarchs then usual showing up this year. I live on the western shore were Lake Superior ends and the beach is litered with dead monarchs. What happens is they continue there northward migration over the lake if its calm but then they get caught in adverse winds so they tire out and land in the water and drown but plenty do make it. andy74
