Fifteen feet is considered flood stage. It crested at 19'6" and had dropped about nine inches when I took the shots.

Fine pictures. I hope you livesafely on the high ground (if any)!

I took this in December just outside Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, southern England, when we were looking for a pub (this one!) for lunch. They were flooded catastrophically and unprecedentedly there last summer, with some fatalities. An alarmingly large number of the inhabitants of the town are still living in trailer caravans while their houses dry out.

We live safely on a sandstone ridge high above the River Dee flood plain.
