ohh thanks alan and ac.smith.
I thought something was wrong with my camera.

I have another question.. again while searching for cards I found the following
http://www.adorama.com/IDSU2SDP2G.html
SanDisk 2 GB Ultra II SD+, Combo SD/USB Secure Digital Memory Card with Built-in Pop-up USB 2.0 Connector
Will this work with z712is? if it works whether i would still need to but a card reader?
Will it be a better purchase than
http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=SDSDX3002
Sandisk NEW! 2 GB Extreme III Secure Digital Memory Card

Thanks,
Carly.

The built in USB would eliminate the requirement for a card until it broke. And that is my concern, the parts are getting so small that they will not be physically durable. I'd rather have an SD card and a seperate card reader for reliability.

thanks ac.smith..
that means other than the reliability issue this combo card should work with 712is?

Kindly reply
Carly.

I see no reason why it won't work but I'm not able to test so can't be absolutely sure.
