Have a bit of a problem, transfered photos from camera to pc but the softwear wipped the sd card clean, is there any way that i can put the photos back on a new card or the old card from my pc, have saved the photos to cd, also have a card raeder! have tried to do it myself but the camera cannot see the photos, but they do go on the card. many thanks

How about doing these:

1. Format your card using the camera.
2. Transfer photos from PC to card using the card reader.
3. Check if the camera can show the photos.

Thanks for reply, have tried that one but camera cannot see the photos! looking like it might have to be a photo album job!! cheers.

The camera won't recognise the images unless the files are identicalto the original camera ones, AND they are in the same place in the same file structure. This structure is not always created at formatting time; it may occur when the first image is taken. I once used the same card in a Z1012 and a Z712. The camera created separate Z1012 and Z712 folders within a 'DCIM' folder, and each camera could see its own images.

So, try formatting the card, then take a single shot, and inspect the file structure of the card by inserting in the card reader to find where it put the image you just took. It may weel be in a new sub-folder. Then copy the files from the CD or computer on to the card, and then see if the camera can see them.

This may not work if you resaved the files at any stage in your prior storage operations, rather than just copying them.
