Default The Kodak Z980 Inventory is Dwindling!

At this point in time (12/09/09) the excellent 24X optical zoom Z-980 cameras that are no longer being produced are just about off dealer shelves, www.walmart.com has a few more, but less than 20 according to an inside source. The largest inventory seems to be remaining on E-Bay.

From the various forums I have seen this and other recent Kodaks are not very good cameras.

I liked my P-712, but it is very slow, and now worthless.

Hi there, FF-

No, the Kodak Z-980 has received excellent reviews, and produces great images just like your P-712. The problem was that Kodak contracted for a fixed number of these cameras from a very good third party camera maker.

Then WOW! The camera was more popular than Kodak had ever expected. Now they have no more of these Z-980 cameras to sell.

In short, they guess wrong and got burned!
