Default Has Anyone Got the Kodak ZX-1 Camcorder?

The Kodak ZX-1 is the latest in Kodak's palm size camcorders that compete head on with the Flip series of camcorders. How does it compare?

Is Flip a better choice? If so which model? I have a Grand son who really wants a palm sized camcorder for Christmas. I need so advice, please. Thanks in advance.

Default The Kodak Zi8 is the latest

The Kodak Zi8 is the latest, and greatest, Kodak "flip style" video camera. Most agree it is superior to all of the Flip models (see the CNET reviews, for example) in features for sure, and video quality. If you look hard, you can get it for $149, but the bargain price is disappearing fast.

markr-

Many thanks for your positive evaluation. It is a last minute Christmas gift for my husband, so your post came at exactly the right time. Thanks!

Great question, Mark-

But not being long and strong on video experience experience, it never hurts to ask.

I meant in the first post you said it was for your grandson and then in the other it was for your husband (btw I hope he doesn't read the threads if it is), so it just made me laugh.

Thanks Mark for the clarification-

No neither of them reads the threads so we are safe. At first my grandson was the "giftee" but then as soon as I told my husband about the idea, he was highly interested as well. So I now have one for each of them.

Have a great day and Merry Christmas.

LOL, sounds like that will keep the boys in the house happy then and peace and quiet for the ladies.... well apart from having cameras waving all over the place.

Mark-

Multi cameras waving about is what Christmas is all about in our house.
