Default EasyShare C310 suddenly won't import

Hi,
This is my first post to the forums.
My EasyShare C310 has worked perfectly for a long time, and now suddenly I can't import pictures using the either the printer dock or just the usb cable.

I use Picasa 3 to store my pictures, and have it configured to start when I connect the camera. It does start, and I can see and select the pictures to import, but when I tell it to import, nothing happens.

Can anyone help with this issue?
Thanks,
Charles

chowse-

Welcome to the Forum. We're delighted that you dropped by.

Failure of the printer dock and the USB cable download system seems to point to a camera problem. Have you attempted to use an inexpensive card reader? That would be a cheaper solution to your problem. If the card reader attempt fails, you definitely have a camera problem.

Thanks for the reply, Sarah.
Believe it or not, I attempted another download after I posted, and it worked.
The only thing I can think of is that when I turned the switch from Off to Auto, my fingers slipped a little and caused the switch to wiggle a little.
Maybe the switch was dirty...?
BTW, I use internal memory, no memory card, so a card reader wouldn't help.

Thanks,
Charles

That is great news, Charles-

I have a C310 also. You have to turn the switch precisely. Some times I have to turn it off and on to get it work. It is not easy since the knob is rather stiff. Now I use a SD memory card reader since I misplaced the USB cable.
