Default Z712IS replacement

Well. the old 712 got dropped and the LCD panel broke. It still works fine, but no screen. I've looked at a Z1015 and a Z8612 and would consider anything that would still use the Klic-8000 batteries and work in the camera dock 3. I like the zoom but am not real concerned about the higher megapixels. Any suggestions for an upgrade without buying the latest and greatest?

choffman-

Welcome to the Forum. We pleased that you dropped by.

I have found the Z-1012 to be a very acceptable replacement for the Z-712. They both are very similar in operation and image quality. You can easily find them from some dealers and on E-Bay.

Thanks for the reply. Almost sprung for the 1012 but found a guy on ebay selling new LCD panels for $25 so bought one and will resurrect the 712 for awhile.
