Ok. Here's an update with my repair. Kodak received my camera on Monday and today sent me a price quote on the repair by email (what the hell!). According to them, the lens needs to be replaced and the warranty doesn't cover it; allegedly the damage was sustained from impact....yet, I didn't damage it. The camera has always taken horrid pictures from day one.

Yes I feared this all along, that is why I asked you if it was a display model, Kodak wont cover it if it has been dropped.

How much did they quote you for repairs?. :shock:

130 dollars, plus tax....but I DIDN'T drop the damn thing. It's always taken lousy pictures.

I know you didnt drop it, I just wondered if maybe someone else dropped it before you bought it.

Try and contact where you bought it from and ask for your money back, they should have told you it was damaged.
