Default Need advice please:DX6440vsDX4530-Please help!!

Hi
I know you probably get fed up of people asking for advice, but i've
shortened my list of cameras to buy to the DX6440 and DX4530.
Both are the same price over here in the UK 199,and i just cannot choose between them.
My main concerns:Picture quality, ease of use and build quality.
Hope someone can help me,many thanks.
Regards
JPA.

I have the 6440, and faced the same decision relative to the 4530 when I bought it.

Factors that made me pick the 6440:
4x lens.
Lens is said to be higher quality than the 4530's--although I don't know if that makes any real difference in the pics.
Stronger flash (according to specs on the kodak site)
More features you can select--aperture, shutter speed, etc.
A 'burst' mode which lets you take 6 pics in 2 secs on the 6440 (although without flash--still good for outdoor action shots and bright indoors). This is a real advantage for a lot of situations.
For most purposes a 5 mp sensor gives no better pics than a 4mp sensor.

The 6440 has a solid feel to it. There have been complaints about the flimsiness of the battery and camera doors but that hasn't been an issue for me.

Both will be very easy to use in a 'point and shoot' fashion.
Their controls are obvious and intuitive. Again, the 6440 offers more advanced options.

Picture quality is excellent on the 6440. I don't think it is better or worse than the 4530 from what I gather from reviews.

You can check out the manuals for both cameras on the kodak site, and compare features, and see if the added ones on the 6440 make a difference for you. I picked the 6440 for those added features, same image quality, and gave up the extra 1 mp resolution.

For sure DX6440 ! For better lens and more manual controls ! Unless you have to develop 8R photos, otherwise 5 megapixels is useless ! 8)

Thanks guys,appreciate your views.
I was decided on the DX6440 until a few weeks ago, when i came upon the DX4530,and then got completely stuck between choosing
one of them.
I'll have a think and choose one in the next week or so
Thanks again for replying,
Regards JPA.
