Default Kodak P 850

I have had this camera since 2006 and just love it, but I now have the on/off switch problem that comes with this camera.

My question... what would be a good Kodak that would be the same as my P 850? I just bought the new Canon SX40, but the pictures just don't match up to my Kodak P 850, and I am going to return the Canon

G'day WW

Your camera has done the same as my beloved Fuji - after many years of faithful use the on/off switch went on holidays & left me behind ....

Current Kodak offerings in the superzoom category are the 990 or last year's 981
See what you can locate in a store near you

Regards, Phil

I agree with you. I had (still have) a P850 and it takes great pictures. It has a fast lens (f2.8, wide and f3.7 tele).
I don't use it anymore because I needed more zoom power. I went to the Z981, which takes good pictures, too, but not as good as the 850 IMO.
I checked ebay and there are 850s available for $100 and up, depending on bids, I guess.
Good luck,
Bob
