Default Night pictures with DX6490

I was trying to take some pictures with my camera last night, but none of them turned out. I tried to take a few of the moon, and some of my patio. They were all too dark or blurry. I was using a tripod but I'm not sure what else I can do.

Taking photos of the moon requires a relatively fast shutter speed and either spot or centerweight lighmetering. Now, I don't know your digitcam, but if you can, try and do these manuel settings instead of auto. I also could be, that your digicam has some difficulties focusing in dark, this is a very commom problem. If so try and focus and then lock focus.

Always use the self timer!!!!!
