Good morning!

I've been lurking on the forums for the past little while, and I finally decided to post.

I am planning on getting a 6490 (after doing loads of research I had it narrowed down to an Olympus C765 or the 6490). What I would like to know from you folks is if I should get a particular brand of memory card (I will be going for a 256MB)?

There seems to be quite a few out there, and reading various forums on the 6490, I've read that some people have trouble with SanDisk/Kingston. Does it make a difference if I buy a Lexar memory card, or should I go with whatever is cheapest?

Your comments are appreciated!

I've got a Viking card and have had no troubles to date, also I have the SanDisk Ultra II and seem to be one of the lucky ones in having no problems.

The faster card doesn't make any difference apart from deleting and processing after a burst.

Save your cash and get a basic card.
