Hi all, been a little busy lately.

Today I received my TCON-17 lens and took a couple of test shots.

Taken at normal wide angle.

Taken at full optical zoom.

Now with the TCON on.

I had to use macro for the last shot.

All the best - Paul.

Hi Paul;

I was very interested to see your tcon-17 pictures taken with the dx6490 (or should that be the other way around?) I have been considering adding this lens to my camera bag as well. Your garden shots look prett good. I wonder, how does this lens respond in landscape shots?

All the best,

I haven't tried a long distance shot yet due to the haze around, but this example seems to work.

I guess that they were stored on photobucket a year or so ago and have expired. Maybe we can get ColdSnail to repost them for all the curious out there. Maybe we all need to say PLEASE,PLEASE<PLEASEplease!!!!

I'll dig them up later, phew, this was a blast from the past.

Here's something to keep you zoom fans happy.

From the south side of the Thames and not cropped.

Edit, it will not let me type d-a-m-n, it changes it to darn.
I don't know anybody around here that says that.

Thanks Paul I'm sure there are a lot of folks that will be looking forward to that post, I know I will. Oh yeah my wife says she's glad to know that she would be unique if she were there. D-A-M-N has never passed her lips but darn does on a regular basis. I just purchased the TCON-17, a kodak lens adapter, a polarized filter and a UV filter for $135.00 including shipping at B&H Photo this morning. My wife said the D word a couple of times and moans every now and then. I figger it's good for her sinuses.
