I've recently sold my Kodak DX4900 to buy a new Kodak CX7530.

I'm very happy with it, but the DX4900 had a feature that I really miss, which was the possibility to keep user settings (flash mode and zoom) when turning off the camera, without resetting them to the default values.

It would be great to have such feature on the CX7530 as well, especially for the flash, that I like to keep off most the time, while the firmware only allows you to set "Auto" or "Red eye reduction" as default, and the camera resets the default values not only when you turns it off, but also when you change mode as well, which drives me nuts!

Does anyone know if there's the possibility to modify such behavior, or are hacked firmwares available, or there are information available about how to tamper with the firmware?

gadb:

Thanks, but that's the official webpage of the Kodak CX7530 on Kodak's website.

I've already been there, but they surely don't tell you how to modify the firmware, nor offer alternate firmwares.

Im desperatly looking for a hacked firmware for the Dx6490 because in low light, the image compression is very heavy. Mabye there are some outthere.

Every time I contact a corporation I receive a generic-corporate-reply, but I'll try it.
