Hi

I am having Kodak dx6490 with scandisk memory card. I really dont know anything about camera and technical term of photography. Just trying to explore new things.

when i transfer my pictures from camera to pc i delete all the pictures from memorycard so that i can click more. but some time i do need few pictures from my pc to my memory card for various reasons

Is there any way to transfer my pictures back to memory card ?

Pls suggest some solution.

Regards

Dinesh

Hi Dinesh;

The answer to your question is in this forum:

Kodak 6490 picture transfer question...

It's really quite easy to transfer both directions using USB. Essentially, your card is treated just like any other storage medium on your computer.

Hi

I checked with USB and it worked

It showed me as a new drive in my pc and different folders for internal memory and external memory. I was able to write back to my memory card

thats great

1) just connect a usb cable to camera (place in the side of the camera remove the rubber cover and put there. there are 3 places 2 round and third is different use the third one.

2) other part connect to pc

3) just check if u need to on the camera or not. i did

4) see the drive on ur pc and it will show kodak dx6490 as a new drive

5) open the directories and u can see internal memory n external memory

6) copy or paste the images from there.. u can also see the existing files there

cheers !!!

Hi Dinesh;

The only caution I would urge is not to do anything too fancy while hooked up... such as formatting the volume. I have heard from others that it can:

a) destroy your card

b) make it unreadable (I guess that adds up to the same thing)

c) take up most of your space with system files.

I got a Sandisk imagemate 2.0 and take my card out of camera and put in the imagemate... I can take pics off the card or put any pic back on the card.

I can put pics I took with my old digicam on my sandisk card thru imagemate then put card in camera put camera on printing dock and print it...
