I was having some trouble finding a lens adapter for my dx7590(noone seemed to have then in stock) and so I bought one from ebay seller.Very quick service, fits well, and I am very happy with it. Seems I've read of others having the same problem so I thought I would put a link to their ebay page for anyone interested.

Hi and thanks for the link. When I bought my adaptor (for the 6490 - I think it's the same) there were lots available. It seems lately that the well has gone dry though.

P.S. You'll enjoy your close-ups.

Hi Tom Great story about the close-ups....As I was looking at some on the internet, a neighbor stopped in and said"I think something like that is in a box in the basement.My father had a lot of camera stuff and I haven't thrown it out yet." Over I went and sure enough , in a dusty box, were 4 close up lenses(+1+2+4and macro), uv filters,polarizing lens and misc. straps, etc.. I couldn't believe it when i saw threy were 55mm. He was glad to give them away and I may have to snowblow his driveway out of guilt:-).Brand is DKE which I haven't found out much about, but the price was right. I will post some photos first chance I get.

Dan

Hi Dan;

Lucky you. Enjoy your fortune. I haven't heard of DKE before, but I bet dollars to donuts that someone here can tell you all about them. Of course, the key is whether they are a good match for your camera. Post some shots soon.

Regards,
