I have a question for the 6490 users. How bad is the delay from click to capture? From the review, it sounds slow. This is a priority for me. (I returned another camera the delay was so bad.) I was set to buy the 7440, (I knowit is fast) but really had my heart set on the 6490, and I may have found one at a store nearby. I take a lot of indoor pics also--how is the 6490 on indoor shots? Thanks!! ( I don't want to pay the price for the 7590.)

i have the 6490 for about 6 months.
its not very bad, if you prefocus.

prefocussing (pressing the shutter button half way and holding) takes varying time, from instant (<50msec) to about 3 seconds

low light, and objects very near the lens in macro mode.
these two sitiations take more time.

i have taken panaromic shots nearly instantly.

The delay can be annoying. The burst mode helps to compensate, altho you will have a lag while the camera processes the series. I upgraded from the 6490 to the 7590, and the shot-to-shot is much better. Well worth the extra money, IMHO.
